How to.....ART!!

Art is defined as a range of activities that give expression to the creativity of the human mind. Some genres of art are: Painting,Writing,Music,Dance. Art has many divisions and so, many names. Today, let's talk about Fine arts or Visual arts, specifically painting, sketching and the likes from the views of an untrained artist.

I have been into art since a very young age (since I was around 4 or 5) .Writing, Painting and many, many more. I love art in all its forms. Fine arts ,that is, painting, sketching is one of my favorite schools of art. Though I have received no formal training, I still love fiddling about with colors and pencils , pens and get lost in a beautiful, colorful world. Some say that without formal training, art is difficult even impossible. Difficult , yes it is ,when you have no idea of the different kind of brushes, of the paint you need or even how to start ! Impossible, well I don't think so. Practice , time and most of all patience is necessary , only these can make you better. Many of us can't get proper training even though we might be dying for it for several reasons such as lack of resources, changing places a lot (ME!) or for some other reasons ( such as your parents might have got you a tutor when you were very young but she couldn't stand long because you were used to hanging in the next room's window-My story😁) . Whatever be your reasons , nothing should stop you from holding that artist within. So , this is an untrained artist's guide to holding on to the artist inside.

Some of my works. Which one is your favorite? Please tell me .

  • Never give up- Never give up no, never give up no,no,oh. That actually is a very  nice song and one we all should remember. Artists, writers, trained or untrained it is very important to not give up . Every mistake will make you feel bad , but keep trying,it is only bound to make you better.
  • Patience is the key-Be patient and calm, a string of mistakes will make you angry, hours of sitting or standing at one place might make you irritable but you must be patient. I usually take a day or two to complete the same piece which my friend ( with a 5 year course in art) finishes in a few hours , then too it might not be as good as her's. At that point, remember too be patient and not to throw your work flying out of the window.
  • The Internet-The internet, so helpful. As Cap said (Captain america:The winter soldier), the internet is actually very helpful. You can learn a lot, right from the type of paper to the paint to various techniques of art . Most of all it is FREE !
  • Love , live and Art-Art is all about making you feel alive, about bringing out the YOU in you. Even if you can't perfect that portrait and still are not satisfied with that night sky, keep on working and remember to Smile ! Feel your art , feel yourself and stay happy !
Art is all about happiness, feeling yourself and feeling the world around you in a beautiful , unique way. "Art is something that makes you breathe a different kind of happiness"-Anni albers. Remember to breathe, smile, live, laugh and BE YOU !
